A graduation ceremony in Juba celebrated twenty women survivors who completed EcoRise's Green Livelihoods training. Each participant received an entrepreneurship starter kit and seed grant to launch community-based green enterprises.
The businesses focus on assembling affordable solar lamps for displacement settlements and producing reusable sanitary products. In addition to earning independent incomes exceeding $30 to $50 per month, the graduates serve as peer mentors for other women in their communities.
